Yura Yura Teikoku are called something like "empire unstable", a trio formed in 1989 and led by Shintaro Sakamoto (guitar and vocals). They live in a western suburb of Tokyo, where are still rehearsing twice a week in a rented studio for 20 years. As they say is so dilapidated that it is not recommended or amateur bands. Although they have played at Fuji Rock, the biggest event Live bands have transcended Japan and internationally, the band does not let fame take away his low profile.
The visual image of Yura Yura Teikoku is also managed by Sakamoto, who illustrated the covers of CDs and handles all matters relating to the promotion of the group. Last year the renowned publisher Shogakukan published his book ARTWORKS SAKAMOTO Shintaro 1994-2006 .
